Episode details

Happy Monday! Welcome back to Acting Class Daily and The Elysium Aesthetic. It’s the second week of the month, which means our focus is on our Artistry.

Today we introduce a teammate for discovering, and seeing clearly, your Elysium Artist.

The person you wanna be when you grow up. The culmination of your lifetime ahead of earned excellence. Your direction.

Locating the specific muscles needed to build and grow the best of you.

Today is about what you can do to make fulfilling your potential inevitable.

The Road To Elysium.

Personal Crafting Work

Elysium Artist

EA Puzzle Pieces are reputation-worthy scenarios of highest virtue. The specific things they’ll say about working with you when you’ve reached your potential.

They may have similarities in how others go about their business, but everyone who works with (that version of) you would immediately know it’s your reputation.

  1. Specify 3 Puzzle Pieces of your Elysium Artist.

  2. Determine 5 vital traits inherent to earning each Puzzle Piece.

  3. Modify each trait with a poetic word/phrase that captures its true taste.

  4. “Fill in the gaps” with 5 more modified traits (10 total).

Monthly Map

Design a Monthly Map of daily steps towards your Elysium Artist.

  1. Hold a “lottery” to select one dull, daily doing for each day of the month.

  2. Hold another “lottery” to randomly attach one modified trait to each day.

  3. Infuse your dull, daily doing with the quality of that day’s modified trait.

  4. Set an accountability system to create a “seal of habit” over the first month.

Share your weekly discoveries & challenges and we’ll include them on Mondays. Simply hit ‘reply’ to this email. Members can share anytime on Discord and comment here on Substack:

Put It Up On The Wall!

We had a tradition of capturing quotes on the Elysium walls. The torch has now been passed to the digital realm. We’ll use this space to highlight quotes and translate those terms we tend to throw around.

Glossary Gigantum

Elysium Artist; the version of you that fulfills your potential. The you that crosses the finish line of Elysium.

When I think of our Elysium Artists, it’s the best of ourselves right? It’s who we want to be when we grow up.

We talk about finding our path. Getting a good clear sense of our personal, artistic finish line.

We have to discover what that really means.

There are puzzle pieces we come across in our lives; mentors we’ve met, people we look at and say, “I want to be able to do that in the profession. I wanna be that sort of person …”

Those puzzle pieces comprise your Elysium Artist. They give us a knowing of our potential and the target of personal direction.

How to work from that place of love.

How to see the best of, feel the best of, work off the best of everyone you collaborate with.

How every place you get to do this art form in feels like a gift.

Your Elysium Artist has figured those things out through a lifetime of experience … so we do the work to build it and allow it to be our guide in life.

In honor of our friends at The Sample (who knew the coolest newsletters to send me … and here we are today!) each Monday I’ll highlight a Substacker that’s tickling my tastebuds:
