In a show like this, it’s soooo hard not to pretend - everything is set-up to pull you towards presentation, to focus of the form at the cost of your freedom within it.
Her solo pieces below - at times when one is being very personally judged - are a testament to readiness, to earning the freedom to live while honoring every edge of expectation.
I marvel at how alive and available she is in the moment … how connected she is to her imaginative truth … that to her anything feels possible. Never rushing, never showing … just pure fearless, poetic expression.
I believe her.
This is one special artist, elevating her weird and wacky surroundings (something we actors can appreciate) … plus, a bonus taste of the work she’s been doing since.
