On Today’s Show . . .

Let’s talk about growing our PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT.

When it comes to our instrument, our finish line is both simple and extra-ordinary …

The ability to truly live. To exist in the now. To simply be.

🔥 How do we go from the rules of life into the permissions of art?

🔥 How do we turn expectations into possibilities?

🔥 How can we let go of protection and be caught by the moment?

Today we’re discussing a teammate for the ages. A companion on your journey forward. Something to challenge you, grow your muscles and develop with you.

It’s time to roar into the first part of our EA Physical Practice.

Let’s discuss! Plus:

✨ Monday’s ACD Class Recap

✨ Weekly Personal Crafting Work

✨ Thursday Thought

✨ Free-flowing discussion on daily life as an acting artist, training, the profession, and current events - all through the lens of The Elysium Aesthetic.

Any question, any discovery, any anything you’re facing as an actor … we want to know about it, chat about it, turn it into a trampoline.

Join our live caller-driven show on Callin where we celebrate, commiserate, connect and clarify our craft together. Radio Elysium features free-flowing discussion on topics that speak to artistic life, EA classes, professional application, and current events.

Living Truthfully.

Your moments matter.

Here’s a meaningful moment from last week’s episode. Send a moment that mattered to you, along with any feedback & suggestions to actingclassdaily@substack.com.

… A proper acting technique has something you know instantly how to grab onto and gift yourself with finding your way forward.

Finding your way forward starts with what is forward to you? What matters? Who do you want to be when you grow up?

Now, is there a way to be able to get there realistically with the time that you have in life?

And I'm talking to anybody who's listening to this that's a Mom or a Dad. Somebody who has so many responsibilities that go beyond work and acting. Family, health, finances …

Where it feels like the world is crushing you in regards to time.

That there is no extra time or minuscule amounts of time or time that keeps changing and can't be relied on.

That's who I'm talking to … most certainly I'm talking to a person who needs it.

When you don't have the time to be able to get there, to me, that means we need a teammate.

We need a tool.

We need something we can do with the time that we have to be able to get to the direction we're after.

This is the work.

The work of the Elysium Artist.

The work of finding who you want to be and being able to break that down into actionable things you can do every single day … wait for it ! … that disappear into the background. No extra time needed …
