Physical Practice (Part Two)
Members have access to my handwritten notes for each audio chapter, bonus resources, personal nicknacks and … a moment of magic.
Here’s a visual example of the elements we covered in today’s class.
Simple Pieces of Choreography
Music inspired by our work, to carry us into the break.
This week I’ve added THREE new songs to our EA Physical Practice playlist.
One to invite the taste of touch, another to inspire the permission of our lazy, Sunday morning roll, and the third to inspire the world of standing.
I’ve also gone back and added a third song to each of our previous pairs.
Moving forward the playlist is setup to be used three songs at a time, offering new flavors and colors for each go at your Physical Practice.
Moment of Magic
Shakespeare’s Soul (Cymbeline Rehearsal - 2016)
Still thinking about rehearsals when something so true, so worthwhile … provides new direction.
In an early rehearsal for Cymbeline, I asked the cast to prepare a song, or sound, or music … something raw … something speaking their soul.
Here’s a taste of surrender and acceptance I’ll always remember … when preparation met willingness … and “no apologies” inspired the sound of fearless collaborative expression.
Rehearsal is the best. Go team.
